How do we see the heat in the body? Think of the infrared binoculars used by heroes in the movies to see heat in the darkness. That infrared technology can, and is, being used as an assessment tool known as thermography. I had my first thermogram in 2008 focusing on the breast area, but thermography can be used for any area of the body. My tissue was found to be cool in one breast and “very cool” in the other. As that was my first thermogram, it became my “baseline”, used to measure against future changes detected in subsequent tests.
